MAY 2025

HOLIDAYS

Kids’ Campus will be closed on Monday, May 26th for Memorial Day.

The last day of school for SISD is Thursday, May 22nd.  That is an early dismissal day and there will be an extra charge for school children picked up by Kids’ Campus.  You will see that charge on your next brightwheel invoice.  All day care will be provided on Friday for schoolers.  Please remember to bring lunch.

All enrollees will need to pay through Friday, May 23rd, regardless of attendance.

CHILDCARE PROVIDER APPRECIATION DAY

Friday, May 9th, is Childcare Provider Appreciation Day.  Have you heard me brag about my staff?  Each teacher/staff brings something to the center that is special, supportive, unique, and amazing.

I am fully aware that I could not be successful at this profession without each of them.  Ms. Rosy supports me in every way.  Ms. G, well, she is an inspiration to us all.  Ms. KK is calm and loving to all the kids.  Mr. Craig keeps things flowing and is a constant reminder that a man can be successful in childcare.  Ms. Lisa G is steadfast and energetic.  Ms. Margarita is a curriculum super star!  Ms. Lisa B has grown and educated herself in this field.  Ms. Sharon is a support to me and always says the right thing at just the right time when I need it.  Ms. Denae is a joy and always has a smile to offer.  Ms. Patience is a quiet yet loving teacher.  Ms. Destiny has just begun her career here and fits right in.  Ms. Lezly and Ms. Olivia, the newest hires, come highly recommended from another center and I can’t wait to get to know them.

Please help me celebrate Childcare Provider Appreciation Day.  They all deserve all the recognition and kudos you give. Thank you in advance for helping me.

CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations to Ms. Sharon.  She is April’s Employee of the Month.  When I heard she was wanting to work in childcare again, I snatched her up.  Like I said, she is supportive, confident, and amazing.  She is doing a fabulous job and loving every minute of it!

HEARING AND VISION

Ms. Caprice Dodson is scheduled on May 9, 2025, to do hearing/vision testing for students who are 4 and up.  IF you have had this testing done with your physician, please provide us with a copy of the results.  Otherwise, permission slips and more information will be distributed on Monday, May 5th to those in need of this testing.  The cost is $15 for both test or $7.50 if only one is needed.

GOOD-BYES

Ms. Olivia Ochoa’s last day was April 11th.  It was a difficult decision for her but ultimately she decided that it was time to move on for personal reasons.  I wish her well.

It is always difficult for us to say good-bye to children leaving Kids’ Campus.  If this is your last month here, we will miss you!  We hope you have a great summer.  Please come back to visit!  For all of those leaving for the summer only, you have a great summer too!  We look forward to hearing all about it in August!

WELCOME

I would like to extend a big Kids’ Campus welcome to Ms. Lezly Guzman and Ms. Olivia Toledo.  They are both extremely excited and will continue training and learning the ropes.  Both are a fantastic addition to our KCCC team.  Please give them a big Kids’ Campus welcome!

SUMMER SESSION

Our summer session will start on Tuesday, May 27th.  Summer is more relaxed, the schedule is less structured, and themes are planned for the children to enjoy every week.  Splash Day is every Friday beginning June 6th – children wear their swimsuits to Kids’ Campus and play on the splashpad/water slide during the morning recess.  Summer enrollees will receive a monthly calendar of activities and themes, and more information at the beginning of the session.  School age children will have their own program with field trips.  Mr. KK will be sending a letter home for those children enrolled this summer.

*Please remember that if your child begins the summer session, you are obligated to pay for the entire session.  If you change your mind after the summer session begins and UN-enroll your child, you will lose your spot in the fall.

REMINDERS

  • Please remember our dress code policy concerning sandals/shoes.  Children may wear sandals if they have a strap around the back to help keep them on their feet.  Flip flops are not allowed! Children must wear closed toed shoes to play in the sand area.

  • Please check the coat racks in your child’s mailbox area and check the lost and found box.  There are several jackets which need to be taken home.  All unmarked clothing left after May 31st will be donated.

  • Remember, ALL tuition accounts must be paid in full for your child to begin the summer session.
