HAPPY ANNIVERSARY KIDS’ CAMPUS, OPEN 33 YEARS JUNE 1ST!
SUMMER SESSION
Welcome to Kids’ Campus summer session beginning May 26th! We excited to kick off a fun and relaxed season filled with engaging activities, hands on fun, and plenty of celebrations to keep the kids happy, active, and thriving.
Some of you are already familiar with our summer program, but for those who are new (or just need a quick refresher), here is some information to get you started:
· If your child has moved to a new classroom with new teachers, routines, or schedules, please remember our general rule of thumb: it takes about two weeks for children to fully adjust to all the “new”. Patience, consistency, and reassurance go a long way during this transition.
· We will have themes all summer long! Each class will receive a monthly calendar outlining themes and planned activities. School age children will receive their own calendar and will need to sign permission slips for scheduled activities.
· Beginning Monday, June 1, and continuing every Monday this summer, the kids will enjoy snow cone day. Kona Ice will pull up to our gate and the children will have a blast creating their own snow cones!! The cost is $3.00.
· Splash Day will be every Friday beginning June 5. Weather permitting of course, for all children from the Hot Tamale class through the Snickers class.
o Hot Tamales, Lollipops, and Sour Patch Kids will enjoy a splash pad or sprinkler during morning outdoor play.
o Gummy Bears, MilkyWays, and Snickers will have a waterslide/inflatable during their morning outdoor time.
o Children should wear swimsuits to Kids’ Campus on Fridays and bring:
§ A towel.
§ A full change of clothes
§ All items clearly labeled with your child’s name. Labeling makes a huge difference when getting everyone changed and ensuring items return to the correct cubby.
· If you would like sunscreen applied to your child:
o Please apply it before arrival each morning
o If you provide sunscreen (labeled with your child’s name) and place it in their cubby. Staff will reapply it after quiet time.
· All sandal type shoes MUST have a back strap. This is a safety requirement.
o Sandals and Crocs are not allowed in the sand area due to pea gravel and slipping concerns.
o Flip-flops are not allowed at any time for any child at Kids’ Campus, including the school age building for safety and sanitary reasons.
REMINDERS
Please remember that tuition is still due even when your family is on vacation this summer. Our policy is simple: When Kids’ Campus is open, tuition is due.
Once you start the summer session with us, you are responsible for the tuition for the entire session. Our staff, utilities, and operating expenses remain the same whether your child is present or not. Please be sure to make your payment before you leave to avoid a late fee.
We have plenty of fun activities and projects planned this summer, and our teachers will choose toys and materials that or both appropriate and safe. Children understand that Kids’ Campus toys are for sharing. Toys brought from home can sometimes cause problems or pose safety concerns, so they should stay at home. There are a few exceptions in the school age building, and Ms. KK will let the children know what is allowed.
