ORNAMENTS

Each year we decorate our Christmas tree in the entry with an ornament from each child that has attended Kids’ Campus or is currently attending.  If your child is new to Kids’ Campus or missed your opportunity to join, please bring in an ornament to represent him/her (if you have previously provided an ornament, there is no need to bring another).  Put your child’s name on it, with the year, and we will keep it to decorate our tree from year to year.  Thank you for joining us in our Christmas tradition.

Please take some time to view all the different ornaments we have received from the children through the years.  I believe the oldest one we have is from 1996 and even if they have broken over the years, I still have them in the box!  The teachers and I enjoy looking at the ornaments and remembering all the children that have come and gone.  I have been doing this long enough and I have had the pleasure of being a teacher to a few of you moms and dads and if you are now bringing your children to Kids’ Campus as well, your ornaments are hanging on the tree from “a long time ago” and I would love to put your child’s ornament next to yours!

HOLIDAYS

Kids’ Campus will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday, December 24 & 25, 2025.

Sweeny ISD will have an early release on December 19th, please let us know in advance if your child will not need to be picked up by KCCC.  All-day school age care will be offered during days that Kids’ Campus is open through January 5, 2026.  School age children, kindergarten to 5th grade will need to bring a sack lunch each day they attend.  Ms. Rosy will add to your tuition each day your child attends.  Tuition is due regardless of attendance during the Christmas break.  Please remember to pay ahead to avoid late fees.

CHRISTMAS GIVING

Ms. Abi loves Christmas and has a giving heart and would like to do something special for the holidays and wanted to include KCCC families. She will be getting lists and information out to you for donations.  KCCC will be making goodie bags for the residents at the nursing home. We want to bring joy to the people who may not have family or are not expecting anything for Christmas. There are 60 residents. The plan is to get some throw blankets, hand creams, snacks, and have the children at the daycare make it more personal by making homemade Christmas cards. The goal is $250 and we’re looking for small donations to help this come true! We will also be taking gently worn coats for donating to the veterans housing in West Columbia.

CHRISTMAS PARTIES!

We will have our Christmas parties for children in the main building on Friday, December 19th at 2:30. Sign-up sheets for bringing treats will be made available or sent through brightwheel.  We ask that you bring a gift for a child to open the day of the party ($15 limit please).  The gift will need to be left with the teacher on Thursday, December 18th.  Each class will give you more information about their gift exchange.  However, as a suggestion, it makes things easier if your child doesn’t know which gift “they” bring.  If they know which one is “theirs” it will be difficult for them to share or give away.  And as always, you are more than welcome to join your child to celebrate a Kids’ Campus Christmas!  Tuesday – Thursday attendees are invited to attend also.

If you have any questions about the parties or the gift, please call.

REMINDERS

  • Please write your child’s name(s) on the bottom of your tuition checks, especially if your last name is different than your child’s.  It will help us credit the right account.

  • We will all be busier than ever this month.  At Kids’ Campus, we tend to see an increase in late pick-up of children, and late tuition payments in December.  The greatest gift to us this season is to be on time and to pay on time.

  • Please check your child’s extra clothes basket and make sure we have clothes proper for the colder weather and clothes that still fit.

  • We are running out of Kids’ Campus back-up clothes.  Please check your laundry.  If they belong to Kids’ Campus, they will be marked as such.  Please return them as soon as possible.  Thank you.

  • Visit our website, www.mykidscampus.com, for your Christmas gift!
